As you can see in the chart above, homes that are 2,500 sqft or under are pretty similar A typical suburban Tampa community is going to consist of a mixture of homes that range from about 1,200 - 2,500 sqft with some communities going up to 4,000 square feet. Most of the homes that are over 4,000 sqft are in high income areas where people can afford such large homes, the people who buy those homes typically adorn them with much higher end finishes than you will find in the cookie cutter homes of a typical suburban community. Having real marble tile, quartz countertops, hardwood flooring and custom cabinetry costs considerably more per square foot than ceramic tile, laminate counters, carpet and Home Depot cabinets and therefore the home that has those upscale items is also worth more per square foot.
